About the role

  • Guide product development through all stages of the product life cycle: identifying customer needs, developing, launching, and sustaining products
  • Represent Cloudflare to customers, vendors, and partners; synthesize information and communicate learnings to internal stakeholders
  • Build, maintain, and develop a world class team of product managers and leaders
  • Lead and encourage a global team of accomplished product managers and remove obstacles to attainment of their objectives
  • Hire, develop, and retain extraordinary talent to scale the function and meet business goals
  • Guide the development of product strategy and roadmap for a broad portfolio including Traffic Management, Data Localization, DNS, TLS Certificate Lifecycle, and IP Address Management
  • Lead PM efforts across teams from ideation through launch and continuing through ongoing maintenance and support
  • Implement best-in-class product management processes to increase team velocity, quality, and accountability
  • Develop and nurture relationships with engineering leadership and coordinate closely to ensure successful delivery
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support to drive adoption and gather feedback
  • Build consensus and effectively influence senior-level partners
  • Identify new markets and opportunities and build the external and internal relationships required to realize them
  • Represent the company externally, including speaking engagements and meetings with customers and prospects

Requirements

  • 15+ years experience in product management
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Software
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop a team of high-performing product managers and product leaders (direct reports)
  • Proven track record shipping data-driven, secure, enterprise products at scale in a highly dynamic environment
  • Strong technical abilities; familiarity with modern software development practices used to build and deploy applications
  • Expert knowledge of Internet protocols and regulatory landscape
  • Ability to have deep technical discussions with engineering stakeholders
  • Excellent oral communication and written documentation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work with tight timelines
  • Tolerance for ambiguity, creativity in strategy and execution tactics
  • Strong customer and stakeholder empathy
  • Ability to validate early ideas through A/B and multivariate testing (bonus)
  • Hands-on experience managing mission critical products or services that run at internet scale (bonus)
  • Familiarity with Internet traffic management, DNS, TLS certificate lifecycles, BGP, DHCP (bonus)
  • Scripting/programming experience (Python, Go) and/or experience with query languages (bonus)
  • May require authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship
