About the role
- Build foundational services for large organizations to run on Cloudflare
- Responsible for APIs, UIs, internal tooling, and admin platforms
- Heavy focus on backend architecture and systems design
- Design data models, architect high-performance services in Go
- Optimize PostgreSQL layer and ensure service resilience in Kubernetes ecosystem
- Troubleshoot complex distributed traces to maintain high availability
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling production-grade applications
- Deep proficiency in a typed language like Go, PHP, Rust, or Typescript for APIs
- Proven experience designing distributed systems that are scalable, maintainable, and fault-tolerant
- Comfortable navigating a React/TypeScript codebase to build or improve UI components
- Excited about exploring and adopting rapidly advancing AI tooling
- Experience with SQL, including schema design, query optimization, and serving globally distributed actors
- Experience using distributed tracing (Jaeger), error tracking (Sentry), and log analysis (Kibana/Elasticsearch)
