About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain large-scale replication systems on top of the Cloudera Data Platform stack
  • Partner with the team to troubleshoot real-world technical challenges and customer use cases
  • Work with a distributed team of engineers to design cloud-based, low RPO, RTO replication architectures
  • Support replication across multiple components like HDFS, Ozone, Hive, HBase, Iceberg, Ranger, Atlas
  • Receive dedicated mentorship and regular feedback to help you grow your technical skills and career trajectory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relentless ability to adapt and a curious mind
  • Experience with either Java, Scala, or Python
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Ability to read large codebases and write succinct, clean code
  • Giving and taking actionable feedback
  • Understanding of systems, databases, networks, and the web
  • Experience building complex systems in a JVM language like Java or Scala
  • Current expertise with Java/Scala developer ecosystems
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Test automation experience along with Python basics
  • Systems/DevOps experience
