About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own cloud-native data warehouse, driving technical integration of Apache Iceberg with Hive and Impala
Articulate and own strategic direction for SQL engines
Develop and maintain product roadmap aligned with strategy
Prioritize and define features to enable data lakehouse capabilities
Direct development of features for elasticity and resource management
Conduct continuous market research for new opportunities
Define product for a consistent experience across clouds
Drive successful product launches with Marketing, Sales, and Documentation teams
Define and track KPIs for product success
Write clear Product Requirement Documents and user stories
Work closely with Engineering for technical trade-offs and decisions
Collaborate with UX/Design to simplify complex infrastructure features
Serve as senior product expert for CDW with customers and analysts

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years as a Product Manager, with significant experience in distributed data platforms or cloud-native data services
Deep expertise in Kubernetes orchestration and Apache Iceberg open table format
Expert understanding of Hive/Impala for enterprise ELT/ETL and analytical workloads
Proven ability to write clear PRDs, build use cases/user stories, analyze customer patterns
Experience managing products deployed across Public Cloud and on-premises Private Cloud
MBA degree and prior experience in a Director of Product Management role (preferred)
