About the role
- Implement new features in Spark in Scala & Java
- Contribute to the open source Apache Spark project
- Write tests and ensure our distribution of Spark remains compatible with the rest of the Cloudera stack
- Learn how to design systems resilient to the problems of running on thousands of nodes
- Help customers debug complex issues that come from running data pipelines on spark on real world datasets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Programming experience with a JVM Language (Java or Scala preferred; Clojure or Groovy experience acceptable)
- Experience with Unix / Linux
- Experience with automating CI/CD processes
- Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Git
