About the role
- Develop and implement scalable, cloud-native applications using AWS services and modern frameworks.
- Modernize legacy systems (e.g., .NET, Java, or on-prem workloads) into microservices, containers, or serverless architectures.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts using AWS Developer Tools, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Develop APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems for leveraging services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions.
- Integrate backend services with data stores like DynamoDB, Aurora, or RDS.
- Collaborate with data and AI/ML teams to embed machine learning or generative AI capabilities using services like SageMaker or Bedrock.
- Ensure applications adhere to AWS best practices for security, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Stay current with new AWS services, frameworks, and cloud-native development trends.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years on AWS.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy applications or building microservices/serverless applications.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, C#, or Go).
- Proficient in front-end development in modern frameworks such as: React, Angular, and Vue.js.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless (Lambda, API Gateway).
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of AWS application services such as DynamoDB, App Runner, Step Functions, SQS, and SNS.
- Familiarity with integrating AI/ML or Generative AI services (SageMaker, Bedrock, or OpenAI APIs).
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with a passion for clean, maintainable code.
- Highly Preferred AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Experience working in client-facing consulting or agile delivery environments.
