About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the sales strategy and delivery for HR Technologies' events portfolio
- Manage and mentor a sales team to achieve ambitious targets
- Manage day-to-day sales pipelines and personal administration
- Deliver new and existing business sales strategies across shows
- Visit and monitor competitor and industry events
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Arrange meetings with potential customers and negotiate sponsorship deals
- Respond to client enquiries via email and phone
- Create detailed written proposals and close sales
- Review the team and personal sales performance against targets
- Share best practices and lead team development
- Attend training sessions and implement skills across the business
- Work with the Event Director and the sales team to exceed show targets
- Uphold KPIs, including 90 minutes daily phone time (including Teams/Zoom calls)
- Lead "power hours" with well-researched prospect identification
- Undertake other duties as reasonably requested
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven sales experience in events, sponsorship, or B2B environments
- Strong track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Data-driven mindset with ability to review performance and adjust strategy
- Organised, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced environments
- Ability to inspire and mentor a sales team
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Confident at networking and building market intelligence
- Experience with sales systems and CRM platforms
- Full driving licence (for visiting events and clients)
