About the role
- Lead and design our app and web portal end-to-end, spanning research, UX, and UI
- Define and refine user flows, interaction models, and scalable design systems across platforms
- Craft and maintain the look, feel, and overall experience of the product suite, from concept through iteration
- Own design projects independently and drive initiatives end-to-end
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering to balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
- Leverage customer insights, analytics, and usability testing to iterate quickly and inform product decisions
- Design for both web and mobile platforms, including micro-interactions and micro-animations
- Maintain and evolve design systems and interaction models
Requirements
- Systems design thinker — able to create scalable, consistent frameworks
- Strong visual craft — sharp eye for detail, typography, layout, and hierarchy
- Fluent in design and prototyping tools (we use Figma; other prototyping tools a plus)
- User-centered mindset — capable of conducting and synthesizing lightweight research
- Cross-platform experience — designing for both mobile and desktop environments
- Interaction design expertise — conceptualize micro-interactions and micro-animations
- Clear communicator — articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical audiences
- Organized and reliable — strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities
- Experience with app design — iOS/Android mobile or cross-platform
- Agency background (preferred)
- Track record in fast-scaling environments or design-led organizations (preferred)
- Get-it-done mindset and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Curiosity for complex payment flows and resolving edge cases
- Commitment to building reliable, scalable processes balancing UX with compliance
- Passion for security and internet ethics
- Startup or growth-stage company experience
- Care and respect for customers’ privacy
