About the role
- Coordinate the engagement of the Alliance at country level, extending support on coordination of existing funding and identifying new funding priorities in three start-up geographies, under government and community leadership
- Develop the Alliance’s country application and selection process, planning for launch of Alliance engagement, and preparing for scale-up to additional countries in 2027
- Travel up to 40% to engage with stakeholders and represent the Alliance at key meetings and events
- Align strategies with broader NCD health system goals and collaborate with CHAI teams across functions
- Cultivate strong in-country government and partner relationships to ensure priority setting reflects local needs and constraints
- Manage donor/partner conversations to secure funding commitments aligned with country programs
- Ensure documentation, processes, and templates for global and in-country partner engagement; contribute to M&E frameworks and communications strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with ability to manage complex projects across multiple teams
- Demonstrated experience in public health systems strengthening and living/working in low-resource settings
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills; ability to use data to inform program development and strategy
- Strong project management skills; ability to work independently in a high-performance, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities
- Exceptional diplomatic and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multicultural, multi-stakeholder engagement to achieve intended results
- Proven track record of working with teams in a matrixed organizational structure, building strong relationships with individuals at varying seniority and soliciting expert inputs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with ability to represent the Alliance externally
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote set-up and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time internationally
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for strategic analyses and presentations
