About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • - Provide high-quality, timely and commercially focused legal support aligned with business objectives, departmental goals and personal development plans.
  • - Uphold the highest standards of integrity, acting in accordance with the Company Handbook, Clinigen’s values and culture and the Legal Team’s “best-in-class” service approach.
  • - Provide support in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and legal best practices across all jurisdictions in which Clinigen operates.
  • - Proactively engage with internal business units to draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements with both suppliers and customers across Clinigen’s global operations.
  • - Take the lead on commercial contracting matters within one or more of Clinigen’s Business Units, managing negotiations from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • - Handle a diverse range of legal matters, including:
  • - Commercial contracts
  • - Data protection and privacy issues
  • - Dispute resolution
  • - Intellectual property matters
  • - Operate with autonomy and confidence, managing contract negotiations independently and driving them through to successful completion.
  • - Bring a pragmatic, solutions focused approach to legal challenges, with the experience and judgment to handle complex matters independently.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • - Possession of a Law Degree is essential for this role
  • - Knowledge of English Law or other common Law jurisdiction
  • - Minimum 3-5 years PQE
  • - Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts is required
  • - Fluency to business level in English, both written and spoken
  • - Self-motivated to drive work/projects forward
  • - Well organised and proactive
  • - Logical and process-minded with a keen eye for detail
  • - Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with all parts of the business including the senior leadership team
  • - An individual who takes a common-sense approach in their day-to-day work and has the confidence to make well balanced and informed decisions with practical benefits
