About the role
- Coordinate with design team members to format and design report content in Adobe InDesign
- Work within the confines of established templates, unless instructed otherwise
- Adhere to best practices related to image handling, color management, and delivery of design file
- Occasionally utilize Adobe Illustrator to make minor adjustments to graphics within reports
- Conduct thorough review of all deliverables to ensure accuracy, optimal legibility, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Meet deadlines which are sometimes tight but always discussed and agreed upon in advance
- Address requests for edits from the design and/or project teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in layout design, including 20+ page documents
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, including utilizing master pages, typographic styles, and interactive features
- Efficiency and workflow optimization skills in InDesign
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word
- A keen eye for detail, including when working under the pressure of a tight deadline.
Benefits
- This is a freelance position that is compensated by the hour on a project-to-project basis.
- Workload will generally be heavier during our busy season of September – November, and lighter during other months of the year.
