About the role
- Manage and maintain the ecosystem of Climate Action’s digital systems, tools, and platforms (CRM, marketing automation, event registration platforms, analytics, etc.) to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage Climate Action’s websites (primarily WordPress), including updates, plug-in management, security monitoring, content publishing workflows, and optimisation for performance, SEO, and AEO.
- Coordinate with internal programmers and external developers/designers to deliver website improvements and troubleshoot issues.
- Day-to-day ownership, setup, and management of our Swoogo event registration platform for each event, to ensure a seamless delegate experience.
- Partner with registration suppliers to ensure seamless integration of the Swoogo platform with the supplier's badge printing process and handheld badge scanning for managing room access.
- On-site troubleshooting on registration and data-related issues.
- Lead on the implementation, integration, and optimisation of new digital tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee system adoption across departments, providing training, support, and clear documentation to ensure smooth transitions.
- Monitor platform usage and performance, providing regular reports and insights to ensure maximum ROI on technology investments.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Event Delivery teams to streamline processes and enable effective cross-departmental working.
- Act as the first point of contact for troubleshooting and liaising with platform providers or technical support when required.
- Stay up to date with digital system innovations and best practices, advising on opportunities for improvement.
- Safeguard data quality, system security, and compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in working in fast-paced B2B events, within an event operations, data, or systems role.
- Solid knowledge of CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and event management software (e.g. Swoogo, SalesSeek, Active Campaign or similar, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Cvent).
- Ability to work under pressure to overcome registration and badging challenges during large-scale events.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing WordPress websites, including plug-in configuration, updates, troubleshooting, and content management and analytics.
- Understanding of website optimisation for performance, accessibility, SEO, AEO, and user experience.
- Ability to coordinate with developers and designers to implement customisations or technical fixes.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and business improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to implement new platforms and ensure smooth adoption across multiple teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and train non-technical colleagues.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of data security, GDPR, and best practices in digital governance.
- Passion for innovation, with an interest in climate action and sustainability, a plus.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
