About the role
- Build and optimize backend features and systems for our Meetings platform, with a focus on AI-powered voice transcription and real-time collaboration.
- Own projects end-to-end, from initial design through production deployment.
- Collaborate closely with product, AI, and frontend teams to deliver innovative meeting experiences.
- Identify and implement improvements to our audio processing and transcription pipelines.
- Contribute to a world-class, inclusive, and fun engineering culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent major.
- 6+ years of experience engineering performant and high-throughput backend systems (ideally on Node.js).
- Proven experience with AI voice transcription, speech-to-text, or similar projects/companies.
- Strong coding skills (ideally in TypeScript) and a track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
- Experience building and scaling distributed, event-driven systems.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries at scale.
- Familiarity with major cloud services (ideally AWS).
- Empathetic communicator and effective collaborator.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
- Product-minded with a keen sense for great user experiences.
