About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the company’s Product Analytics platform (PostHog), ensuring its evolution, governance and adoption by teams.
  • Define, document and evolve the product tracking plan.
  • Define taxonomy, naming conventions and standards for product events.
  • Ensure the quality, consistency and reliability of behavioral data.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define and implement product events.
  • Validate implementations, identify inconsistencies and monitor corrections.
  • Monitor platform usage, event-related costs and optimization opportunities.
  • Perform analyses of user behavior, funnels, activation, retention, feature adoption and navigation journeys.
  • Build dashboards and analyses to support Product decisions.
  • Cross behavioral data with business metrics such as revenue, churn, plans, segments and platform usage.
  • Support PMs in defining success metrics and experimentation hypotheses.
  • Participate in the definition, monitoring and analysis of A/B tests and continuous user-experience improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as an internal reference for Product Analytics.
  • Support PMs, Designers and Engineering in adopting best practices for instrumentation and analysis.
  • Create documentation, standards and materials that raise the organization’s analytical maturity.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Practical experience with Product Analytics.
  • Experience implementing or governing Product Analytics tools such as PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap or similar.
  • Experience creating or maintaining tracking plans, taxonomy and event documentation.
  • Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams to define and implement events.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical issues into product decisions.
  • Analytical, organized, hands-on profile with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to lead initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
