About the role
- Design automation solutions using tools such as Cypress or others, simulating real user or bot behavior.
- Lead the creation of continuous testing strategies within CI/CD pipelines, focusing on reliability, isolation, and performance.
- Support the optimization and parallelization of existing Cypress tests to reduce execution time and the occurrence of intermittent failures.
- Collaborate with product, development, and infrastructure teams to improve observability and testability of critical flows.
- Promote best practices in test strategy design, flaky test mitigation, contract testing, and continuous testing.
- Foster a quality-first culture across teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mid-level QA or in a similar position.
- Proficiency with test automation tools such as Cypress and Postman.
- Familiarity with test and bug management tools like Jira.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Experience with JMeter or K6 for performance and load testing.
- Experience with integration tests, end-to-end (E2E) testing, and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of software quality best practices and the test pyramid concept.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactivity and autonomy to propose improvements to the quality process.
- Preferred: Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem (Aurora, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda).
- Experience with Contract Testing (e.g., Pact.io) and mocking/stubbing techniques for external integrations.
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, New Relic).
- Interest in defining and scaling Quality Engineering practices and standards.
