About the role
- Deliver the full lifecycle of Data Science projects, from identifying business pain points and defining timelines to final delivery, ensuring visibility across all involved areas.
- Independently develop, train, and validate Machine Learning and Generative AI models using Python to solve complex problems (such as demand forecasting and intelligent automation).
- Build scalable, robust solutions in the AWS environment, selecting the best algorithmic strategies and ensuring models perform with high accuracy in production.
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and the business, translating complex requirements into realistic action plans and communicating insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Explore and structure data from various sources (internal, external, and unstructured), applying advanced feature engineering to improve solution performance.
- Ensure operational excellence and governance by investing in detailed technical documentation, process automation, and continuous improvement of the team’s working framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineering, Product, and Software) to integrate models into existing systems, assuring technical feasibility and scalability.
- Proactively identify new strategic opportunities, test hypotheses, and propose the adoption of emerging technologies to anticipate company needs.
Requirements
- Strong technical proficiency in Python: solid experience building models, manipulating data, and writing efficient scripts.
- Experience with Cloud (AWS): practical experience in the AWS ecosystem for developing and deploying data solutions.
- Background in Machine Learning and AI: deep knowledge of algorithms (supervised and unsupervised), evaluation metrics, and an interest in emerging technologies such as LLMs and Generative AI.
- Project autonomy: ability to organize work independently, define technical stages, and manage deadlines to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Interpersonal communication: ability to navigate between technical teams and business areas, translating complex challenges into realistic action plans.
- Data excellence: proficiency in SQL and experience in feature engineering, with ease handling structured and unstructured data.
- Quality mindset: focus on detailed documentation, process automation, and writing clean, scalable code.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields, with a strong analytical foundation.
- Professional experience: at least 1 year working as a Data Scientist in a corporate environment, participating in real delivery cycles and addressing business challenges.
