About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare treasury dashboards, liquidity reports, and variance analysis for Senior Management
  • Support budgeting and forecasting through cash flow inputs
  • Highlight risks, opportunities, and deviations against forecasts
  • Report debtor analysis monthly to FNB for purposes of overdraft facility.
  • Monitor, record, and reconcile daily cash movements across all Group bank accounts
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity for operational requirements and escalate shortfalls or surpluses proactively
  • Support inter-bank transfers and funding to optimize cash utilization
  • Develop short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasts incorporating operational and capital requirements
  • Maintain weekly forecasts for review with Senior Management
  • Coordinate priority payments in collaboration with the AP team
  • Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Account for all loan entries and ensure loan GL balances reconcile with loan facility statements and loan amortisation schedules
  • Track treasury exposures (interest rate, FX, credit)
  • Ensure treasury activities comply with Group policies, banking regulations, and internal controls
  • Maintain process documentation and support internal and external audits
  • Implement and uphold segregation of duties and strong treasury controls
  • Identify opportunities to enhance treasury processes, automation, systems, and reporting quality
  • Support regulatory and statutory submissions, including Stats SA and SARB exchange control applications
  • Maintain approvals registries and assist with preparation of required financial summaries
  • Manage Group bank accounts, mandates, signatories, and compliance with delegation of authority
  • Support payments execution, banking solution onboarding, and intercompany treasury transactions
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, including loan schedules and refinancing activities
  • Partner with Finance, AP, AR, FP&A, and banking partners to ensure smooth treasury operations
  • Align cash management activities with business requirements and strategic priorities
  • Prepare monthly: leave pay provision journals, salary capitalisation journals and payroll journals for Group entities
  • Prepare monthly payroll checks for Group entities
  • Save monthly payroll files
  • Assist with Balance Sheet Reconciliations across Group entities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree: A minimum requirement majoring in Finance, Accounting or Investment Management.
  • A professional designation such as CIMA/ ACCA/ SAIPA / CA(SA) will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 to 5 years’ related experience in a finance and/or treasury role at a Senior Level.
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV/ Business Central experience would be an advantage.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining complex spread sheets.
  • Strong treasury expertise, including banking relationships, liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and treasury systems
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance (FICA/KYC) and online banking platforms
  • Advanced computer literacy, particularly in MS Office with strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail with accurate communication and strong administrative capability
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder (including supplier) management skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and meet tight deadlines
  • High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Strong negotiation skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible and committed, including willingness to work extended hours when required.
