About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting
Assess health status and complete nursing assessments
Perform telephone triage and establish care plans
Administer medications and treatments
Initiate CPR and other emergency measures
Notify physicians and/or Licensed Independent Providers of abnormal findings
Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and patient-care equipment
Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education for patients and families
Cover other nursing roles within the department
Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed
Collaborate with endoscopy caregivers on procedures and patient outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
One year of recent experience as an RN
LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience may substitute for RN experience only for specified current Cleveland Clinic caregivers transferring into eligible ambulatory RN roles
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
Corrected hearing and vision within normal range
Ability to follow Standard Precautions and use required personal protective equipment
Ability to work under Light Work physical requirements
Required to comply with annual influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption
Employment offers followed by controlled-substance testing
