About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical assistance for both diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Cross trained in cardiac cath, vascular, and interventional radiology
  • Acquire and process high-quality images to ensure accuracy and clarity
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams
  • Set-up or operate injectors to administer contrast agents for procedures
  • Apply EKG leads and pulse oximetry monitoring
  • Use and prepare wires, catheters, balloons and other devices
  • Operate ancillary equipment adherent to specific procedures
  • Teach and instruct students and new hires

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams
  • Knowledge of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environment
