About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical assistance for both diagnostic and interventional procedures
Cross trained in cardiac cath, vascular, and interventional radiology
Acquire and process high-quality images to ensure accuracy and clarity
Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams
Set-up or operate injectors to administer contrast agents for procedures
Apply EKG leads and pulse oximetry monitoring
Use and prepare wires, catheters, balloons and other devices
Operate ancillary equipment adherent to specific procedures
Teach and instruct students and new hires

Requirements

What you’ll need

Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy
Knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams
Knowledge of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environment
