About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide stellar care at one of the top healthcare organizations in the nation
Perform 12-lead Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Hook-Ups and Cardiac Stress Testing, including 24-hour, 48-hour, and 30-day event monitors and/or EEG testing
Notify physicians, nurses or managers of abnormal results
Notify secretaries of needed supplies
Maintain/troubleshoot equipment and notify Clinical Engineering of ongoing problems that cannot be resolved
Process test results before and following physician interpretations

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
Knowledge of EKG techniques, methods, equipment and peripheral devices sufficient to provide technical support
6 months experience as an ECG tech and six months experience in Stress Testing preferred
Completion of a Cardiac Technician and/or EEG program preferred
Credentials as an Allied Health Professional preferred
Hand dexterity sufficient to handle ECG equipment and Holter monitors
Standing and walking for extended periods of time
May be required to lift up the 25 pounds.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
