About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement patient treatment following evaluations by a Physical Therapist
Discuss possible changes in the treatment approach with the supervising therapist
Assume responsibility for the care, safety and well-being of patients during assigned acts
Observe all necessary precautions and procedures in the use of equipment
Provide appropriate documentation for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policy and procedures
Maintain and care for all equipment and apparatus
Maintain order and cleanliness of the department
Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policy and procedures
Assist in training ancillary personnel

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assisting
Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Florida
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Internship experience
Strong understanding of various rehabilitation techniques and exercises
