About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement patient treatment following evaluations by a Physical Therapist
- Discuss possible changes in the treatment approach with the supervising therapist
- Assume responsibility for the care, safety and well-being of patients during assigned acts
- Observe all necessary precautions and procedures in the use of equipment
- Provide appropriate documentation for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policy and procedures
- Maintain and care for all equipment and apparatus
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the department
- Provide appropriate billing for each patient visit in accordance with departmental policy and procedures
- Assist in training ancillary personnel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assisting
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Florida
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Internship experience
- Strong understanding of various rehabilitation techniques and exercises
