About the role
- Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits which impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills.
- Assess patient 's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills and design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
- Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities and document subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
- Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
- Direct and supervise the activities of support personnel.
- Act as a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) OR the American Red Cross
