RN HOPS – Cardiac Cath Lab
Cleveland ClinicRN providing cardiac care at Cleveland Clinic's Fairview Hospital. Delivering patient care and supporting cardiologists during invasive procedures.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings
- Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings
- Perform telephone triage and call rotations
- Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications
- Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team
- Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning
- Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care
- Educate patients and families
- Cover other nursing roles in the department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross upon hire or within six months of hire
- One year of recent experience as an RN OR licensed RN with at least two years of LPN experience within the same Cleveland Clinic procedural department
- preferred: BSN
- Two years of recent experience as an RN
- For Cardiac Catheterization or other related procedural areas, one year of critical care experience in a hospital setting
- Critical care and/or Med/Surg experience
- ICU/ED experience
