Assistant Nurse Manager – Occupational Health
Cleveland ClinicAssistant Nurse Manager overseeing daily clinical operations of Occupational Health at Cleveland Clinic Health System. Responsible for high-quality patient care and caregiver management.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting.
- Coordinate activities to ensure quality and safe patient care.
- Anticipate and resolve patient care and personnel issues.
- In conjunction with the clinical manager, ensure maintenance of annual staff competencies and continuing education.
- Perform duties of an Occupational Health RN as needed.
- Participate and/or coordinate committees, task forces, and continuous improvement activities.
- Participate in department leadership meetings.
- Oversee daily huddles and staff meetings with minutes and attendance records.
- Assume responsibilities of the clinical manager as needed.
- Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and Occupational Health specific competencies and requirements.
- Maintain applicable certification/licensure.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding caregivers, annual performance reviews and performance improvement.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Two years of recent RN experience
- Ability to work in a variety of medical situations
- Focused on patient safety, teamwork, patient outcomes, patient experience and quality improvement
- Leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
