Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
Administration of aerosolized medications
Non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation management
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapies, equipment use, and disease management
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies, including codes, rapid responses, and trauma cases
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
Stay current with the latest evidence-based practices and participate in continuing education opportunities
Work nights on a 7 on / 7 off schedule (7:00PM - 7:30AM), including rotating weekends and holidays
Requirements
Associate's Degree and graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board Licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred: Previous experience in adult critical care
Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Must clear controlled substances and nicotine testing within the 90-day new hire period
Must comply with influenza prevention program (annual vaccination or approved exemption)
Night shift availability: 7:00PM-7:30AM, 7 days on/7 days off, rotating weekend and holiday requirements
Physical Requirements: Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range; may require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time; Medium Work (exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, etc.)
