About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic and operational leadership for pharmacy prior authorization, revenue integrity, and medication access initiatives across both pharmacy and medical benefit spaces
Oversee a large, growing team with direct and indirect reports
Drive efforts to improve reimbursement outcomes by analyzing claim denials and identifying trends
Implement solutions that enhance financial performance
Optimize workflows and standard operating procedures
Develop performance metrics
Approve high-cost medication purchasing
Support contracting and payment strategies
Lead programs that ensure patient access to medications through drug replacement and free drug programs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced degree: PharmD, Master of Science or Master of Business Administration
Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in the current state or within 90 days of hire
Three years of management or supervisory experience with direct reports
10 years in an equivalent role within a health system environment may substitute the advanced degree requirement
Residency-trained (preferred)
Experience in a large, tertiary care medical center (preferred)
