About the role
- Implement prescribed treatments to patients with various forms of cancer
- Administer radiation in therapeutic doses to patients
- Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist
- Monitor and document the patient's condition and report any adverse reactions
- Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols
- Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately
- Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator
- Rotate between St. Lucie West and the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center
Requirements
- Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy technology or registry eligible
- Board certified Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.T.(R) (T) (ARRT) in good standing
- Current state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Experience with Radiation Oncology - specific electronic medical records
- Experience with External Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT Simulation
- Aria, Truebeam and Siemens CT sim experience
