About the role

  • Implement prescribed treatments to patients with various forms of cancer
  • Administer radiation in therapeutic doses to patients
  • Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physician and dosimetrist
  • Monitor and document the patient's condition and report any adverse reactions
  • Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols
  • Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately
  • Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator
  • Rotate between St. Lucie West and the Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer Center

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy technology or registry eligible
  • Board certified Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), R.T.(R) (T) (ARRT) in good standing
  • Current state licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Experience with Radiation Oncology - specific electronic medical records
  • Experience with External Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT Simulation
  • Aria, Truebeam and Siemens CT sim experience
