About the role
- Independently diagnose, repair, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on Imaging equipment in one or more of the modalities of interventional radiology (IR)/Cath and EP Labs, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and linear accelerators (LINAC).
- Analyze system failures of medical imaging systems and perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer protocol within time standards set by service level agreements.
- Perform preventive maintenance on complex medical systems and develop preventive maintenance procedures based on site specific requirements incorporating usage and other performance metrics.
- Perform incoming inspections of new equipment and complete documentation for CMMS database.
- Act as an enterprise resource providing technical expertise on the assigned imaging equipment.
- Provide on-the-job cross training to fellow technicians for devices they are trained on.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology.
- Successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or 3rd party training company.
- Four years of experience working with Linear Accelerators, CT scanners, MRI machines, Nuclear Medical imaging equipment, or other similar complex medical systems.
