About the role

  • Serve as the Technical Lead for the platform backend
  • Define backend architecture, service boundaries, and API contracts
  • Collaborate with various teams to build the next generation product
  • Define architectural standards and ensure the platform is observable and resilient
  • Participate actively in the full software development life cycle

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years building complex backend platforms, including microservices, APIs, and distributed systems
  • Strong proficiency in API design (REST/gRPC)
  • Expertise in event-driven architectures
  • Extensive data modeling experience with a focus on audit-friendly design and data integrity
  • Hands-on coding mastery in a production language (e.g., Java/Kotlin, Go, Python, C#)
  • Proven ownership of critical reliability features
  • Strong knowledge of security fundamentals
  • Experience with performance engineering techniques
  • Deep experience building and operating backend services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with container orchestration and AWS Machine Learning services
  • Experience designing and implementing multi-tenant systems
  • Able to lead small teams and set technical standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other advanced technical degree preferred.
