About the role
- Manage CLW’s day-to-day tax function
- Working with internal and external partners to ensure compliance to tax laws
- Accurate tax-related financial reporting
- Simplification of internal processes
- Minimization of tax obligations across entities when applicable
- Complete accurate federal and state income tax returns (including apportionment calculations)
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulations at the federal, state, and local level and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders
- Manage income tax provision preparation with co-sourced partner
- Manage sales tax filings with co-sourced partner
- Manage property tax filing and payment
- Oversee third-party co-sourcing arrangements
- Explore value-creation and tax-minimization strategies with co-sourced partners
- Manage relationships with external auditors on tax matters
- Collaborate with other departments for tax-related entries for tax and book balance sheets
- Forecast large tax-related cashflows
- Ad Hoc analysis as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Field of study: Accounting /Finance)
- CPA Required (inactive OK)
- Minimum of three years of experience in tax
- Excel Tax Research Abilities - Advanced
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Ability to analyze data, recognize when problems exist and research solutions.
