About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee planning, maintenance, and operations of ClearSky’s buildings, infrastructures, and grounds
  • Oversee the Environment of Care program across the organization, including emergency, life safety, safety, security, Workplace Violence, hazardous waste, equipment, and utilities
  • Develop long-range facility modernization programs, capital budgets, and resource allocation strategies
  • Ensure hospitals and clinics meet healthcare Environment of Care accreditation and fire/life/safety standards
  • Onboard and train new Hospital Facilities leadership
  • Provide mentoring and consultative direction to Facilities leadership
  • Conduct regular on-site hospital assessments
  • Audit hospital Environment of Care recordkeeping
  • Participate in new hospital builds, leadership and staff orientation, onboarding, and survey readiness preparation
  • Coordinate with corporate and national interdisciplinary teams
  • Travel frequently between locations
  • Support patient, visitor, and staff safety
  • Perform other duties supporting organizational effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10 years’ experience in facilities/EOC in a healthcare environment required
  • 3 years’ experience in a facilities leadership position required
  • Hospital or IRF experience preferred
  • 3 years’ experience managing multiple hospital locations preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or Healthcare Administration preferred
  • CHESP or ASHE Health Care Physical Environmental Worker certification strongly preferred
  • Certification or licensing in plumbing, HVAC, air conditioning, electrician, or related field preferred
  • Acceptable driving record, current driver’s license, and insurability
  • Strong knowledge of city, state, and federal standards, codes, regulations, occupational hazards, and safety precautions
  • Knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation, Joint Commission standards, NFPA codes, OSHA requirements, and EPA requirements
  • Ability to interpret codes and apply them in healthcare settings
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare facility systems, including HVAC, fire suppression, and emergency power systems
  • Ability to lead regulatory survey readiness and respond to audits and inspections
  • Ability to manage emergency preparedness programs and respond to crises
  • Ability to align Facilities operations with organizational goals
  • Ability to partner with clinical, infection control, quality, safety, and operations leaders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to travel frequently between locations
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for momentary and prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform gross and precise motor functions
  • Ability to lift/exert up to 50 lbs.
