About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead site visits at commercial and/or industrial sites to identify energy savings opportunities and collect information for savings calculations
- Present actionable and constructible energy-efficiency measures for customer implementation
- Calculate and report energy and demand savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions consistent with the California SEM M&V Guide
- Write and inform technical documents and publications and conduct quality review
- Provide project oversight and quality control/assurance
- Keep customers and project teams informed of updates and necessary adjustments
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to lead technical work supporting energy-efficiency programs
- Review Building Automation Systems virtually and in person to identify opportunities
- Develop and rationalize energy savings calculation methodologies
- Apply IPMVP options for measurement and verification
- Provide technical or strategic direction to improve energy-saving programs and recommend innovative solutions
- Work with technical reviewers and evaluators to qualify custom projects and defend program savings
- Resolve challenges with clients, contractors, regulators, and governing entities
- Maintain client satisfaction and develop new client relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Engineering; mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
- 8–10+ years of applicable experience in energy-efficiency consulting, program implementation, or consulting engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Measurement and verification certification
- Field experience independently conducting energy audits and verification inspections
- BAS and/or RCx experience
- Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities
- Ability to convey findings to diverse technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, or other data visualization and analysis tools is a plus
- Industry knowledge of Strategic Energy Management preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employer sponsorship or support
- Must pass pre-employment checks
- Must meet applicable DOT qualification requirements and transportation regulations, if applicable
