About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a local on-site program and company representative to commercial customers.
- Conduct energy efficiency HVAC Maintenance Tune-Ups, pre- and post-installation verifications for Incentivized Energy Efficiency Projects, and other technical inspections across a defined territory.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits of commercial energy efficiency upgrades to HVAC systems, lighting systems, and other mechanical installations
- Perform pre- and post-installation inspections to verify proper implementation and performance of energy-saving measures
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to perform inspections, with frequent overnight travel
- Evaluate HVAC Tune-Ups and other system upgrades for compliance, performance, and safety
- Provide detailed feedback and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness
- Operate and manipulate mechanical HVAC equipment to enable functional testing with technical equipment
- Accurately take airflow measurements on HVAC systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certification/training preferred.
- 1-3 years of HVAC or equivalent mechanical experience, with familiarity in lighting systems, controls, and energy efficiency technologies
- EPA Type-Universal certification preferred but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to assess a variety of systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to work in all climates and commercial environments.
- Ability to safely use and climb extension ladders up to 24'
- Sit, stand, walk, crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently
- Use repetitive hand motion and lift, carry, or push up to 50 pounds regularly
