About the role

  • Support project teams with research, data analysis, and documentation related to energy and sustainability initiatives
  • Assist with gathering, organizing, and summarizing technical, market, or policy information
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and written deliverables for internal teams and external clients
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with staff on active projects
  • Assist with project coordination tasks such as tracking action items, timelines, and deliverables
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis or administrative support as needed to advance project goals

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Studies, Environmental Science, Policy, Economics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to synthesize information and communicate clearly in writing and presentations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Interest in energy efficiency, decarbonization, or sustainability
  • Active enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with a graduation date no earlier than May/June 2026
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer (early June – early August)
  • Based in the Madison area.
