💰 $125,200 - $187,700 per year
About the role
- Lead initiatives that deliver cost savings to end-users and reduce emissions across a portfolio of programs in PA
- Oversee a team of 10–15 engineers, ranging from Energy Engineer I to V, including engineering people leaders
- Hire and manage senior-level engineers (EE5s)
- Oversee sensitive HR issues (e.g., disability, promotions, PIPs, disability) with minimal supervision
- Implement long-term resource planning (> 6mo) in conjunction with program managers and regional director(s)
- Develop a strategic direction for the team
- Develop approaches to streamline and standardize engineering work products across the team
- Regularly present technical information on behalf of the company
- Mentor engineering team members on challenging and unusual technical problems
- Technical oversight for a wide variety of programs and projects; troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Negotiate scopes of work, timelines, pricing, and final deliverables
- Manage significant projects involving multiple staff, including advanced scheduling and workload planning, shift workloads between team members, so execution of deliverables, milestones, and overall timelines are maintained from a team level perspective
Requirements
- Over 8 years of progressive engineering experience, including over 5 years leading engineering teams
- Engineering Degree and/or PE
- Innate ability to self-direct
- A curated Leadership Philosophy with demonstrated ability to hire, keep, and grow talent
- A relentless desire to continue to learn
- Hire and manage senior-level engineers (EE5s)
