About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and oversee the implementation of scalable data models and schemas; collaborate with Data Engineering to define the long-term evolution of the data platform.
Synthesize complex, multi-layered analyses into compelling narratives and recommendations for leadership.
Identify and scope high-value analytical projects that the business hasn't yet identified, moving the needle on core "North Star" metrics.
Lead the design and analysis of complex A/B and multivariate tests, ensuring statistical rigor and providing clear "go/no-go" recommendations.
Standardize analytical workflows, from SQL coding standards and peer-review processes to the automation of mission-critical reporting suites.
Act as a technical lead and mentor for Associate and Mid-level analysts, conducting code reviews and fostering professional growth within the team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience with e-commerce and with specific experience of Shopify a plus!
Mastery of SQL including window functions and performance tuning; experience with modern data stack tools like dbt is a plus.
Proven track record of building executive-grade dashboard ecosystems in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker that drive organisational change.
Deep proficiency in Python for advanced statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and process automation.
Expert knowledge of probability, regression modeling, and causal inference to ensure all findings are grounded in mathematical truth.
Experience managing the full lifecycle of complex, multi-month projects involving multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
