About the role
- Work with a platform team to provide a great user experience through essential and reliable systems
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
- Manage and support mission critical systems including Microsoft Domain administration, GPO management, VMware, Cisco Route/Switch, Firewall Management and Saltstack
- Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
- Manage IT systems operation from standard processes to problem identification and resolution for all connected client, server, storage, and network
- Monitor and communicate the operational status of IT systems to customer management
- Optimize system performance, operation, and resource utilization
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to internal customers
- Configure and manage operating systems and conduct/facilitate installs/loads of OS software
- Maintain patch sets across a distributed set of nodes, considering rolling updates to avoid impacting mission load
- Maintain the integrity of network components and implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Interface with customers to gather requirements for functional system and infrastructure solutions that solve mission needs and enhance user experience
Requirements
- A person who enjoys working as a member of an integrated technical team

- Familiar with Agile frameworks and methodologies
- A forward thinker, enjoy learning new technologies, and interested in growing your career
- Skilled in administration of a Windows Linux mixed environment
- Skilled in administration of VMWare tools
- Strong VMware skills are most desirable
- Working with Hardware/Desktop support including Thin Client networking & administration
- Windows system administration skills (AD, local/group policy, etc.)
- Active or current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance
- Education/experience combinations: Masters/Bachelors + 8 Years; Associates + 10 Years; High School/GED + 12 Years; No Degree + 15 Years
- Nice to have: Linux system administration skills; Experience/Knowledge of Cisco/Dell/Juniper Switches and Servers; Any networking or cybersecurity experience
