About the role

  • Work with a platform team to provide a great user experience through essential and reliable systems
  • Gather requirements for functional system and infrastructure solutions that solve mission needs and enhance user experience
  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems
  • Support mission critical systems including: Microsoft Domain administration, GPO management, VMware, Cisco Route/Switch, Firewall Management and Saltstack
  • Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution
  • Support IT systems operation from standard processes to problem identification and resolution for all connected client, server, storage, and network
  • Monitor and communicate the operational status of IT systems to customer management
  • Optimize system performance, operation, and resource utilization
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to internal customers
  • Configure and manage operating systems
  • Conduct/facilitate installs/loads of operating system software
  • Maintain patch sets across a distributed set of nodes, taking into account rolling updates to avoid impacting mission load
  • Maintain the integrity of network components
  • Implement operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Requirements

  • Skilled in administration of a Windows Linux mixed environment
  • Skilled in administration of VMWare tools
  • Familiar with Agile frameworks and methodologies
  • Skilled in administration of VMWare tools
  • VMware skills are most desirable
  • Working with Hardware/Desktop support including Thin Client networking & administration
  • Windows system administration and Linux skills (AD, local/group policy, etc.)
  • Active or current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance
  • Masters/Bachelors + 4 Years
  • Associates + 6 Years
  • High School/GED + 9 Years
  • No Degree + 12 Years
