Cloud Engineer

• CPA is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and security-minded professional to join our growing team as Engineer, Cloud Security.
• This position serves as CPA’s technical lead for cybersecurity architecture and operations with deep expertise in Microsoft enterprise and cloud security platforms.
• This role designs, oversees, and implements security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, data protection, and CPA’s overall Microsoft enterprise ecosystem.
• The Engineer, Cloud Security works closely with the Energy Risk Management, Finance, Power Supply, and Customer Care teams.
• Develop detection content, response playbooks, and automation in Microsoft Sentinel and Defender to reduce mean time to detect and respond.

Project Manager

• CPA seeks an experienced, highly organized, detailed-oriented, and enthusiastic Project Manager, Settlements to provide operational, analytical, compliance, and other support to our growing team.
• The Project Manager, Settlements is responsible for reviewing and identifying discrepancies with our California Independent System Operator (CASIO) and bilateral counterparty invoices, validating transactions of wholesale market products, and performing after the fact analysis on settlements and Congestion Revenue Rights (CRR).
• The Project Manager, Settlements reports to the Senior Manager, Market Operations. You will work closely with internal teams including but not limited to the Power Supply and Finance teams.
• Manage the CAISO settlement process for assigned less complex charge codes including validating weekly CAISO settlement statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and resolving disputes with the CAISO to recover incorrect charges.
• Responsible for the review and validation of bilateral counterparty settlements for assigned less complex contracts of CPA's Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
• Validate transactions of energy, Resource Adequacy capacity, Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), carbon free energy, and other wholesale products.

Project Manager – Settlements

General Counsel

• The Assistant General Counsel (AGC), Power Supply will report to the General Counsel and in that capacity, provide legal representation, advice and counsel, review and analysis, and other support
• The AGC is expected to support other CPA departments when those teams are impacted by issues relating to CPA’s power supply or state or federal energy policies
• Act as counsel representing CPA in contract negotiations, including those related to short-term confirmations under EEI and WSPP Master Agreements, and long-term power purchase agreements
• Review and counsel on competitive solicitations (e.g., Request for Offers) for the procurement of energy or energy products
• Advise CPA’s market operations team on onboarding new resources, resource optimization, market operations, settlements, and asset management
• Assist the Power Supply team in compliance reporting and communications with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to CPA’s integrated resource plan (IRP) and renewables portfolio standard (RPS) plan
• Perform other duties as assigned
