About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support and guidance on energy-efficient technologies and practices to customers, architects, engineers, contractors, and trade allies participating in utility-sponsored programs; communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist in the preparation and review of technical specifications and engineering calculations for commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects.
- Validate energy savings calculations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with program requirements and applicable technical reference manuals.
- Monitor assigned project pipeline and ensure timely progression of projects; maintain accurate and up-to-date records by promptly logging all review activities and updates in the CRM system.
- Support the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and customers.
- Maintain regular communication with participating service providers and consultants to understand needs and gather program feedback.
- Support and, as needed, conduct program trainings for prospective participants.
- Assist in evaluating building plans, specifications, and whole-building efficiency strategies, and contribute to recommendations for energy efficiency improvements.
- Prepare project status reports to track activities and support monitoring of progress toward program goals.
- Coordinate with and support program Quality Assurance activities, including inspections and customer surveys.
Requirements
What you’ll need- New Jersey State resident (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Energy, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in energy efficiency, building systems, utility sector, or a related field
