About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate with the General Manager on all environmental, health, and safety programs
  • Administer the organization’s ISO functions, procedures, manuals, and document control
  • Develop environmental procedures and coordinate EMS committee and objective meetings
  • Track, graph, and trend data related to ISO objectives and targets
  • Create and update ISO communication media
  • Schedule, track, and conduct EMS training when necessary
  • Implement and train the team on waste segregation and coordinate waste disposal
  • Maintain environmental compliance tracking and update manuals and records
  • Investigate non-conformances using corrective action forms and root cause analysis
  • Develop preventative actions and maintain the continuous improvement log
  • Schedule and participate in internal audits, management reviews, and third-party audits
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental laws and submit required regulatory data
  • Lead environmental culture change at home and work with the General Manager
  • Develop local community relationships to promote environmental awareness
  • Help coordinate safety education, training, accident investigations, and other assigned functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in environmental studies is a plus
  • Self-motivated
  • Analytical thinking
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations is a plus
  • Good people and communication skills
  • Ability to follow up and hold people accountable
  • Local travel required
