About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads coaching and mentoring of project managers to build capabilities and promote best practices.
- Supports a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
- Provides tactical leadership and contributes to PMO operational planning within the PMO Leadership team.
- Directly manage project managers, supporting their performance, development, and delivery success.
- Conduct project reviews and quality checks to ensure alignment with PMO standards.
- Assist in aligning projects with organizational priorities and strategic goals.
- Ensure effective PMO resource allocation based on business needs.
- Fosters collaboration and secure stakeholder buy-in from technology partners and business partners.
- Oversee resource planning (people, timelines, budgets) at the project level and help resolve conflicts.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of PMO methodologies, templates, and tools.
- Support implementation and adoption of PMO-related technologies and systems.
- Participate in PMO and organizational programs (e.g., communities of practice, training initiatives).
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, demonstrating expertise in project management methodologies preferred, equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum 5 years of project management or like experience.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
