About the role

  • Maintain a professional, visible security presence
  • Greet, assist, and direct patients, staff, and visitors
  • Protect clients, staff, facilities, and assets
  • Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies
  • Document and report incidents, investigate when required
  • Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-laws
  • Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
  • Support monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
  • Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)
  • Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
  • Minimum 6-month commitment to full-time availability
  • English proficiency (oral & written)
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Preferred: 6+ months healthcare security experience
  • Preferred: 6+ months non-healthcare security experience
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English & French
  • Preferred: 6+ months customer service experience
  • Preferred: Certification in Stay Safe (or ability to complete Paladin’s program prior to onboarding)
