About the role
- Maintain a professional, visible security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct patients, staff, and visitors
- Protect clients, staff, facilities, and assets
- Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies
- Document and report incidents, investigate when required
- Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-laws
- Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
- Support monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C (from a WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
- Immunization records (MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, TB Skin Tests – Step 1 & 2)
- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
- Minimum 6-month commitment to full-time availability
- English proficiency (oral & written)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Preferred: 6+ months healthcare security experience
- Preferred: 6+ months non-healthcare security experience
- Preferred: Bilingual in English & French
- Preferred: 6+ months customer service experience
- Preferred: Certification in Stay Safe (or ability to complete Paladin’s program prior to onboarding)
