About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead growth initiatives for Clarivate's Ex Libris academic software solution portfolio, including the Alma library services platform
- Meet and exceed sales targets for complex product lines and expansive territories
- Identify and develop high-value business opportunities through executive relationship building, discovery, and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with regional Account Managers, customer success, and other teams to advance new business opportunities
- Create and manage an opportunity pipeline, maximizing deal size and accelerating sales cycles
- Craft and position value-added solutions addressing complex customer needs
- Forge and sustain high-level customer relationships with senior stakeholders
- Oversee cross-functional product sales planning and execute comprehensive sales strategies
- Report on sales activities, customer engagements, pipeline health, forecasts, and closing schedules, providing recommendations to leadership
- Develop and execute sales campaigns and lead generation activities with cross-functional teams
- Advance industry and product knowledge to develop new business sales strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of experience selling enterprise SaaS solutions
- Prior work experience selling in the higher ed industry, specifically in EdTech
- Experience with new client acquisition, prospecting, and closing net-new customers
- Experience working with AI-enabled products/services
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Strategic pipeline management skills
- Ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to work regular business hours with flexibility as needed
- Located within the Northeast in the United States
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
