About the role
- Should adhere to the Agile/Scrum development process.
- Provide input for the planning, integration, scripting, and execution of all testing required of a single software change or project.
- Hands on and proven database validation experience using SQL.
- Build test harnesses/ utilities using Java, JavaScript, Python.
- Conduct API testing and backend testing using POSTMAN and/or SOAP UI.
- Review business requirements and design specifications for completeness and testability.
- Develop, write, and maintain test plans and test cases for assigned JIRA stories/bugs/tasks.
- Execute test cases and communicate testing results; provide inputs and escalate issues in bug triage meetings.
- Conduct root cause analysis and correlation of system problems; identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with FrontEnd Dev, Backend Dev, Product Manager, Solution Analysts and Delivery Managers in an Agile team.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of testing experience working in different domains/applications under agile methodology.
- Working knowledge on Functional testing, Non-Functional testing, Web application testing, Automation testing using Java with Selenium, API testing, Backend application testing, DB testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree or at least 4 years of equivalent relevant experience.
- DB: Oracle, MySQL, Postgres.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Knowledge on Cucumber Automation framework.
- Knowledge of Playwright.
- Hands on and proven database validation experience using SQL.
- Should be able to build test harnesses/ utilities using Java, JavaScript, Python.
- Good experience in API Testing using POSTMAN and/or SOAP UI.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum processes.
- Experience developing, writing, and maintaining test plans and test cases for JIRA stories/bugs/tasks.
