About the role
- Serve as a primary contact for a high-impact product line (Rowan), cultivating and managing strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty; Utilize advanced sales and negotiation techniques to engage with high-value customers, drive market expansion, and address complex challenges while building and nurturing high-level customer partnerships; Achieve and exceed sales targets ensuring alignment with Clarivates sales objectives and contributing significantly to revenue growth; Leverage working knowledge of patent preparation and prosecution to support clients (attorneys and paralegals) using Rowan software to draft and prosecute patents; help drive adoption of software through hands-on engagement with clients; lead the development of best practices for product deployment and usage; Continuously deepen industry knowledge and product expertise to maintain a competitive advantage while applying advanced insights to refine sales planning and enhance overall commercial success; Acquire a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and be able to defend our solutions and capabilities against competitive offerings; Provide sales insights, market and customer feedback to senior leadership across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners; collaborate with product teams to provide insights that inform future product roadmaps and enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant work experience; 7+ years of professional work experience in sales and/or intellectual property or similar; 3+ years of IP experience related to patent drafting work; It would be great if you also have: Past work experience as a Patent Attorney; In-depth knowledge of USPTO patent filing requirements; Prior experience successfully selling into law firms and/or corporate legal teams.
