About the role

  • Lead and mentor a team of consultants and managers, providing coaching and supporting their professional development
  • Oversee large, complex customer engagements, managing multiple workstreams and ensuring excellence in delivery
  • Develop and refine methodologies for customer engagement strategy and execution, ensuring innovative, data-driven approaches
  • Drive business development initiatives, including proposal writing, client presentations, and networking to grow the CESE practice
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape practice strategy, set priorities, and allocate resources
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing actionable insights to improve commercial impact and customer engagement
  • Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling Clarivate’s broader consulting offerings
  • Represent Clarivate Consulting externally, enhancing the visibility and reputation of the CESE team
  • Full-time, permanent position based in London, UK, with hybrid working (2–3 days per week in our Liverpool Street office)

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, business, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in life sciences consulting, commercial strategy, or customer engagement
  • Proven track record of leading teams of consultants and first-line managers, including recruitment, coaching, and career development
  • Demonstrated success in business development including proposals, presentations, and client relationship management
  • Strong expertise in customer engagement, omnichannel strategy, and digital execution in the life sciences sector
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee large, multi-country and multi-disciplinary projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • It would be great if you also have: Knowledge of market access, pricing, or portfolio strategy to complement engagement work
  • It would be great if you also have: Experience with global life sciences projects, covering Europe, US, APAC or LATAM
  • It would be great if you also have: A strong industry network and ability to represent Clarivate at industry events and conferences
  • It would be great if you also have: Thought leadership contributions (e.g., publications, conference speaking, white papers)
