Define the TRL advancement plan and experiment matrix for early-stage teams, with clear hypotheses and exit criteria
Develop relationships with stakeholders, policymakers, and decision-makers within target client groups
Design laboratory test protocols (methods, acceptance criteria, instrumentation setup) and establish verification/validation routines
Lead day-to-day lab operations especially in the early-stage TRL
Supervise execution of experiments, troubleshoot technical issues in real time, and coach teams on good experimental practice
Maintain requirements-to-tests-to-results linkage; run technical reviews and drive risk burn-down across critical subsystems
Requirements
Master’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline
At least 10 years of experience consulting with government and academic clients or start-ups or incubators
Previous experience in either Government, Innovation Agencies, Incubators, Accelerators, University Technology Transfer Offices, Entrepreneurship Support Organisations, or Innovation-focussed corporate sectors
Demonstrated experience in reviewing TRL stages, evidence and test results to pass stage gates
Knowledge of process innovation and operating-model design (process mapping, KPI design, change management, adoption)
