About the role
- Create detailed test execution reports for stakeholders, including test coverage, pass/fail rates and defect status.
- Collect and document feedback during UAT phases and ensure issues are tracked and resolved.
- Track test progress and communicate test results to project teams and management.
- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to define the test scope based on business requirements and workflows.
- Work closely with developers, functional consultants and business users to analyze and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with the QA team to define test strategies, test plans and test cases.
- Create and document test cases, scenarios and test scripts.
- Participate in all types and phases of testing (e.g., functional, system, integration, regression and performance testing).
- Continuously improve test processes and methods to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Simulate real business scenarios to validate performance and functionality.
- Perform end-to-end testing of business processes.
- Identify, analyze, record and track defects in bug-tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Re-test fixed defects to verify fixes and ensure no new issues are introduced.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another IT-related discipline, or completed vocational training/diploma in IT and/or a completed manual QA course.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in software quality assurance.
- Very good English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to create comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
- Experience with functional, regression, performance and API testing.
- Knowledge of test management and bug-tracking tools such as Confluence and Jira for organizing test cases, reporting and clear documentation of defects.
- Ability to work effectively within agile Scrum development teams.
- Familiarity with software testing methodologies, test lifecycles and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a focus on delivering quality results.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Independent and self-directed working style.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL for data validation is a plus.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with SAP products, workflows or modules is a plus.
- Experience testing or working with business management tools (ERP, CRM, etc.) is highly desirable.
