About the role

  • Creation, maintenance and improvement of QA processes.
  • Identification of risks in QA tasks and projects.
  • Recommendation of testing tools and continuous updates on technologies and testing strategies.
  • Expertise in the practical application of both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Creation of test plans, test reports and test closure documents for projects.
  • Review of requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback to colleagues.
  • Estimation, prioritization, planning and coordination of testing activities while working independently.
  • Planning and execution of regression tests and any other test types required for the project.
  • Development and implementation of test processes for new and existing products to meet customer requirements.
  • Providing timely updates and relevant reports to department heads or project managers on the progress of testing activities.
  • Mentoring of new hires.
  • Contributing to the further development of the CLARITY knowledge base: best practices, processes, tools, documents, methods and techniques.
  • Ensuring relevance with regard to current trends and market demands in the software testing domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another IT-related discipline/diploma and/or completed manual QA course.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing.
  • Execution of testing activities across the entire test lifecycle, including scoping, estimation and planning.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with issue tracking tools, document management systems and version control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work effectively in agile Scrum development teams.
  • Strong customer orientation and time-management skills; a tailored approach to customer needs and requests; application of best-practice methods.
  • Ability to lead the team to meet tight deadlines.
  • Creation and maintenance of test documentation (test plans, test summary reports etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English B2 or higher).
  • Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Adherence to strict policies and instructions.
  • ISTQB certification is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with SAP products, workflows or modules is an advantage.
  • Experience testing or working with business management tools (ERP, CRM etc.) is an advantage.
